Meanwhile....

Please enjoy this photo of my Roast Chicken Dinner from Wednesday teatime.
I knooowwww! Homemade yorkshires. On a Wednesday!!!
All this was, of course, my way of putting off doing the books.

I'm currently in phase 'inadvertently tidy ALL the stash letters places, hunting down a non existent Voluntary Nat Ins letter, in a panic, because how have I lost it when I'm meticulous about stuffing all work related things in the secure safe punk and orange work stuff bag where the books are kept -  but don't worry because a 13 minute phone call to HMRC through the minefield of press one if you're an idiot caller options - tells me what I though I already knew - it's all done online now - TFFT as the post office is shutting in 14 minutes.' It is a long phase to have to go through on  Saturday morning.
Secure HG Accounts bag.
We do have a filing cabinet but it's full of instructions for printers and things from 100 years ago! Besides, I know where everything is in my bag of carefully sorted bank statements and receipts etc!

Time for phase brew now!

Lots of love from

  1. I have a file in the front of my filing drawer for all the 'can't be bothered with that now' letters, when it is full I have a go at sorting or if a dead line comes along. Car insurance is due so I will sorting it soon.

    1. We just have several drawers! Two in the sideboard, there's two n the bookcase and one in the coffee table. When they are full, we move to 'behind the clock/ornaments/pictures' on the bottom kitchen shelf just round the corner from the door and the upstairs and downstairs mantelpieces.

  2. It is comforting to know there are others out there with their own unique "filing systems". We also have a filing cabinet, and yes there are instructions and warrantees and other old papers. Where is all the current stuff? In about five other locations! -Jenn

    1. I think I could donate some of my old paperwork to a museum or something! Also in the filing cabinet, there's hundreds of strange cables for electrical things. No idea what or where they are for, but I daren't get rid, just in case!!! Classic Hoarder!

  4. I hate not being able to find things and it happens to me way too often. Can't be my fault though, can it? :-)

    1. I secretly love it too! I'm quite methodical. It's all hand written and I have to do certain things a certain way. I love the martyrdom it gives me too!

  6. Yep, I have a shove it up there shelf for filing. By the time I get round to doing it everything is so out of date I can throw it away. It's a brilliant system and saves me loads of time. So glad I don't have to do books, my maths is terrible and we'd either be on the brink of being throw in the poorhouse or able to buy a yacht, depending on where I thought the decimal point should go. I think your filing bag is very funky. xx
