19 n n n n 19

Well, first of all, thank you so much for your well wishes! They worked! I'm much better than I was.
Re: the 19 I refer to. It was the amount of comments I found en masse when I clicked on my blog last night! I was so excited and no one apart from the HG and Twitter to tell!!
I've not got round to replying to them all yet, but I will! It's a thing I like to do. If someone has taken the time to comment, then I will give my time to respond. And honestly, a lot of the time, the comments are better than my post in the first instance! A lot of my comments mention how I can make them laugh - but the commenters are hilarious and I just feel so warm n fuzzy inside about it all!

At 10:30am today I'll be 48hours symptom free. I'm going to work as I strongly suspect it was just bog standard D&V rather than NV ( in such a drama llama ) as the menfolks are fine and haven't succumbed. Thank goodness. We did all have full on NV a few years ago, one bleak week in November. We put the house in quarantine lock down.

Anyway, I'm left with hurty sides like I did 1500 waist bends and coughing is tricky! Have found myself a bit phlegmy!! What a delightful word this time in the morning!

But I must get sorted as I'm at work shortly. Think we've a classroom observation today and I'm going in with zero tolerance! I'm in a 'take no prisoners' mood. I'm tired and ranty about my missed weekend! But the ready Brek Glow from the bloggy love is counteracting it!

I took out the tapestry last night to have a look at.
You can either follow the stitch by colours side ( er yeah no brainer) or
Act like you are insane, turn it over and follow the paper chart!

This pattern has been around since 2011!
I think we all know which path I'll be taking!

Have a great week folks!

Lots of love from

  1. I'm so glad you are feeling better. Whatever it was, it was nasty. I blame school, total germ pit.

19 comments! I'd be doing a little dance at that too. One day last week I checked comments and I had 9 waiting for me. Nearly wet myself! It's a real treat to find comments. :O) So I can understand your glee.

I love a tapestry. Haven't done one for years now. I love feeling like some Lady of the Manor, sitting sewing in my elegant way. Right up until I have to go and scoop poo out of Dudley's loo. Oh yes, I'm all glamour! ;o)

Have a good day at school. xxx

    1. Sadie, you make me giggle! I can imagine you, sitting on your chaise long, maybe with your feet up on a matching footstool, classical music on in the background, stitching away!! Until you have to tend to the livestock! Our lives are SO glamorous it's true!! Xx

  2. LOVE the tapestry.
    Glad you are recovering.
Understand about the hurty sides - that was me three weeks ago. Nasty!
Good luck with the observation and the zero tolerance.

    Have a great day

  3. Of course we comment - you're very funny but now I'm feeling bad because I don't always reply to comments. Only very slightly bad!! Glad you're feeling better now & perhaps you can ask for your weekend back - if you're extra ranty today they might let you :). Love the tapestry (stamps feet but has money earmarked for card craft stuff) x

    1. I don't judge others who don't comment!! I just like to do it! I've so much to say!! I think I'd be bankrupt if I did card making stuff too! Plus my house would collapse under the sheer weight of stuff!

  4. Glad you are feeling better and up to face the little (dev***)Darlings! That tapestry is going to look awesome, I've got a x-stitch Sampler lurking somewhere in a very deep recess, where it's been hiding about 30+ years!! I really should get a tapestry-detector to find and finish it, only 2/3 to go ... (nope, should have binned it years ago!!) Hope you have a good day!

    1. I've still not started it! But I'm looking forward to it immensely! I need a bit better light. I do have one of those day light lamps but I'm going to wait a bit longer so I can do it in real day light as some of the purples are barely different!

  6. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Hope the classroom observation goes well. Comments are great aren't they, I love how from a nothing blog, 'conversations' can develop. I know I give much more away when I reply to comments than I do in the actual blog.

The tapestry is gorgeous, love the colours. Mum struggled to hold the one I bought her and even buying a frame didn't seem to help. It was quite a hard material though, no give in it whatsoever. I'm interested to know how you do yours. xx

    1. It is quite stiff and the sides are scratchy. I'm wondering if I need one of those full on floor standing frames! I could be like a Victorian lady sat at it!
