I've more dog bags under construction and am just really enjoying the freedom of the time to sew. The HG is off work now until I go back and we will be going to stay in the NE with Miss 26 next week for a few days. I am determined he is also going to put up the magnetic fly screen he's been promising for quite some time now! I'd do it myself but cannot due to the constraints of the building near the back door. It needs a bit of jiggery pokery. My dog is hilarious with her sock fetish! She is often seen with a stolen pair of socks in her mouth - her favourite ones tend to be my hand knitted ones or the HG expensive wool ones!
Yesterday we were mostly in the garden, we had our first BBQ of the year for tea. And those are 4 of the bags so far! I might go do a bit more before we take Madam out for her Sunday walkies. Because it's cooler, there's no urgency to do it first thing. Hence the relaxed atmosphere of my lounge

I remember our cocker spaniel used to love grabbing one of our slippers, he would look at us as if to say I’ve got your slipper what are you going to do about it, then run away like mad and hide it somewhere hilarious 😂 I hope you enjoy your stay with your daughter in the NE you will find it considerably cooler. I'm glad of the cooler weather. Thankfully we've not had any downpours like other parts of the country, just a few half hearted drops of rain. The material for the dog bags is really nice especially the bird one. Is this the first time you've seen Miss 26 since lock down. I bet you can't wait to get together can you. By the way I'm sure she was Miss 20 when I first started reading your blog - where have those years gone! xx
ReplyDeleteI filled a hot water bottle with cold water and i have a chill pillow. They helped a little.
ReplyDeleteWe had about 4hrs of one heavy down pour. There are 2 main dykes (there used to be more) that badly flooded, but luckily no homes were.
My dog likes to steal one sock and chew it to bits.

Gorgeous Puffin design fabric. It's going to make an awesome bag!! I like the hot water bottle in the freezer tip ....going to try it as I am so sick of hot sweaty sleepless nights!! Why the sock fetish?? I can understand with slippers but with socks!! keep well Amanda x
