A matching hat

Firstly, thanks for all of you commenting! It made me feel all chuffed n fuzzy inside!

Well, I had plenty of wool left, so I decided to embark upon a bit of knittery jiggery pokery witchcraft. For. The. Very. First. Time!
I decided to make a little matching hat! I used the pattern ( for size n shape ) from this hat I knit
But adapted it to match the cardigan! I didn't use a rib , I went for garter stitch edging to match the cardigan, then I added one pattern run! I was very pleased with how it turned out! I stuffed a tea towel in the hat to try and get the shape right for the camera!!
So now I STILL have a little bit of wool left so am knitting a matching teddy!!
There are the legs!!
Well in other news, the uni one will be taken back to uni tomorrow to start her last semester. It doesn't feel like two minutes since I was weeping and wailing about taking her!

Hopefully the next time I blog, I'll have something other than this flipping cardigan to show you!!

Thanks for your opinions...

I went with option 2!
Ta Daaaa!
Lots of photos in different lights make it look like two cardis!
Round the back
I had some button decisions to make...
I went with just the little purple ones!

I'm just knitting a little hat with the rest of the ball. Hopefully I'll be able to post a pic of the recipient wearing her new cardi soon!
Thanks again for all your help - I hope those who voted option one are not too upset!!

Help! Knitters Eye required.

This isn't my actual next post .. that's full of writings about stuff in my draft folder.

But I'm just sewing up the cardigan I've knit for my friend's little girl. I've used self stripey/patterning wool - which as you know - BLOWS MY MIND! But I made the conscious effort to NOT pattern match and I like the charming patchworkesque effect.

However. I'm struggling to decide which sleeve to put where. What do you think?
Option one is where the lighter pink dappled pattern is at the shoulder matching the lighter pink dappled boy on the right front.
Option two is well erm, the other way round!
I'm thinking option two but if you can be bothered to comment Id love to know your opinion! Not picked buttons yet!!

Thanks in advance
