As requested...

TWO posts in one day, you lucky people!
Well someone kindly commented and asked for before And after shots!

Here are my eyebrows before...

And after...
I am trying to grow my eyebrows! Sounds daft, but years of over plucking left them very straggly. Since days of yellow my hair and eyebrows and lashes have been thinner and stragglier. Not so of my legs and nethers- that's for a whole other post! If you look closely you can also see the scars from the January bout of Shingles! Good job beauty is not skin deep!

I've also been through some wonderful countryside today and bought some gorgeous material
for my first makes on my new machine. I've also been looking at how to use my overlocker. It looks very complicated but I'm sure I'll be whizzing away on it with ease. The dress I'm wearing needs the straps shortening and so they will be the first project!

I'm going to bake with my new cutters - photos will be tomorrow's post and I'll have lovely line dried bedding to climb into tonight. I made a discovery...no wonder I've been having night sweats.... Not my 'age' but the fact I've still got my AUTUMN quilt on! It's just airing on the line before being packed away and the 4.5tog will be on the bed tonight!

The knitting has slowly stopped! But the HG bought me a new pattern book so I need to finish at least one before I start another!

Off to crank Beryl up!

Lots of love from
Rachel *just enjoyed the Women's Final, can't wait for the Men's tomorrow * Radiostar  xx

  1. Where did you get that fabric. It is beautiful.
I found some nice stuff while clearing out at school. I bought it in the days when one used 'drapes' for displays! It's now in the quilting stash!

    1. One is STILL using drapes for displays!! The shop is in a little Northern village called Bentham. But they also have a shop online!

First time I've been in and the lady was lovely. I'll be going back for sure! It's just the sort of shop I'd own!

  3. I quite like the before shot, it reminds me of someone, can't quite bring them to mind. Diane, Desdemona, Deidre, no , none of them but close, quite close. Love the fabric, I have stacks of patterns, freebies, if you fancy having a bash at a dress or skirt, I can pop a couple in the post.

    1. Thanks Pam x I have a few in store I got half price for a SIMPLE tunic! I'm trying to dredge up my memory from my O Level Needlework days! I did get an A! I've done loads of alterations etc over the years but not made anything from a pattern for decades!

  7. Your eye brows look really good. I'm starting to get anxious about mine, partly because I can't see them that well since I got the laser eye surgery done and partly because every second person has amazing eye brows now. I'd love to get them 'seen to' but I'll probably just ending up growing my fringe longer instead :)
