13

Just thirteen sleeps till my precious daughter flees my safe, nurturing, loving nest. I well up just even thinking about it.

It seems worse somehow that I will be part of the team that will take her and abandon her ( with full equipment list; bedding, fluffy towels, crockery, a slow cooker, pots, pans, cutlery etc ) to the harsh, cold reality of the North East.

Dark and brooding is it's skies, bleak, lonely, cruel. ( pause for dramatic effect and maximum sympathy ) Group hug please!

Pass the tissues.....

Awwwww. Well at least you know you raised her well, which was proven in those test scores, so you'll be leaving a sensible young woman behind when you have to. That and she gets to start her adventure! It's one of the best times of life, that start to the adventure called adulthood, and then you get out of school and go on to the 'reality' period, which ain't quite as fun. So yay! She gets the fun part and you have the happy knowledge that you did an awesome job, so she'll be just fine. :)

  2. Don't worry, she'll find plenty of friends at pubs and parties!
(Should I have said that out loud?).

  3. Oh, I am so feeling for you. I was so relieved when my son decided to go to the local uni and stay at home for a couple more years... but children, really, they drive you nuts when they stay, break you heart when they go..
