Sunny days

I'm still pegging out with much success thanks to these lovely tropical days and I'm still in sandals! The temperature does drop in the evening this so it was quite cosy in bed last night because I took the Summer 4.5 tog off and switched it to the 10.5 Autumn one.
I've also switched my little Summer bear collection...

...for my Halloween collection! These are some of my most very very favourite bears.

Talking of Bears........

You know how I go to the Very posh garden centre from time to time? Well they have an absolutely amazing Christmas display section. It's huge and draws people in by the thousands. Anyway, it's started to be assembled and I just love this tree. I mean who wouldn't love a tree made up of soft cuddly polar bears and the occasional plush penguin?

Cute...but not as cute as Freddie!

He'd like to thank you all for encouraging him in his writing and he tells me he'll be back to write for you again the next time he comes over on a sleepover!

Erm, not much else to say really as life is being commanded by the Universe right now. But thank you all for popping over there and leaving me little messages. They mean a lot. I've just not much time really to reply yet. Each time I get back or there's a new update it takes a good hour ringing everyone and letting everyone else know. He's a well loved popular being is my HG!

Lots of love from

  1. The weather is just soooo beautiful Rachel. There's always plenty of washing on the line here too. I'm just worried we'll get the same winter as last year and that was no fun for either of us. In the meantime we should enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Just say when you stop wearing sandals and I'll know it's time to switch the heating on. 😊 X

    1. Those floods of last Christmas Jules don't seem real now, when it's so dry, warm and sunny! Looking like another bright beautiful day here again. I've a feeling though I'll be bypassing shoes and going straight from sandals to boots!

  2. I'm in slippers and intend to remain so (unless I go out) as my poor tootsies are really feeling the cold. Brrrrr.

    1. Get some woolly socks on Mrs! I really do believe that if your feet are warm, then you are warm!

  3. Works has £5 off voucher if youhave a loyalty card-ends today or 20% off online. Worth getting the card, Rachel. Met an infant teacher in the Glasgow store this morning who was nearly buying up the shop! I was buying stuff for my voluntary class so ended up paying £8.55 for £16 worth of stuff. My DH hoped my days of subsidisingeducation would finish when I retired-hahahahahaha! Catriona

  4. I love line drying clothes, it's just all the ironing that's a bit of a b*gger.
Hope Freddie is keeping a diary of his cuteness and cleverness so that he can keep us up to date on his next post. I just love his handsome face.

  7. Oooooh I love Christmas displays. That is a very cute tree but as you say....not as cute as that gorgeous little Freddie.
No sandals here.....my feet are always cold. Nice fluffy slippers for me and maybe even a fire tonight.
Can't wait to see what you have been ordering Mrs-x-

  8. Washing on the line and sandals still on here as well Rachel. Those teddies of yours are so cute, hope Freddie doesn't get too jealous of your love for them.

I've started buying bits and bobs for Christmas and I've got a notebook on the go especially dedicated to the festive season as well.

Hope all goes well in your Universe tomorrow and in the days and weeks to come. Thinking of you all and sending hugs. xx

  9. I've not switched the douvet yet but plan to this week. your teddy collection looks lovely. I could do a soft toy Christmas tree with all Laura's teddies and soft toys she has so many of them. We stopped buying them when she was little but still they came.
