Last day but one

Just a short post for now. I may be back.  I’m dismantling the decorations. It’s a bit of a to do. I’m being ruthless again this year and disposing of some bits and bobs. Heirlooms will be kept of course but I’m switching over storage so will be a bigger job.

I’ve been up since 6, enjoying the twinkles of the tree whilst I have it. Knitting a little cardigan for a girl at work’s baby due in Feb. Then I’ve a couple of things planned for Oliver. Speaking of heirlooms, some gorgeous fabric Rose and Hubble  half price just arrived for a project I’m planning. Also speaking of heirlooms, the needle felted robin in the photo was made for me this year by my friend and he is flanked by my pair of Russian Santas who are over 30 years old now.

It’s cold but not freezing and raining not snowing but according to the news last night, it was to resemble a scene from the North Pole today.  No plans to go out anyway due to dedecorating!

Hope all is well in your world,

Rachel

  1. That needle felt robin is gorgeous. As are the Russian Santas - they certainly don't look their age (wish the same could be said for me haha). Happy new year Rachel xx

  2. I normally find inside dull once the decorations are packed away, I have left a couple of small light sets out and on, they helpbwith the dark evenings. My christmas tree cushion I have popped in the back of our wardrobe, so I can see it each day, I love it too much to pack it away for most of thebyear.

  5. We had a bit of a cull with our decorations, seems that we have more that we use or even need each year. However despite a satisfying chuck out - the box still is full of 'stuff'. Might have to try again next time :D
