First splash of colour!

The first flower of 2016 in my front garden. Purple of course! It must have opened over the weekend!
Beautiful. Just very early!

Lots of love from

  6. You signing off as Rachel Titchmarsh Radiostar made me laugh. You are a one! Lovely flower and colour. Just out of curiosity I know you don't like yellow flowers but does that include daffodils? It's just that I don't know anybody who doesn't like daffs and you might be my first daffodil non-lover that I know. xx

    1. I love all flowers actually. I only try to grown blue and purple flowers for effect and they are my favourites! I've put some daffs in but only those mini creamy narcissistic ones!! I cannot abide cut flowers in my house. There's a few reasons. Mainly because they stink!! Daffodils hum but I love them. Lilies are the ones I dislike the most. They are not beautiful to me and the stench is unbearable. Cut flowers are not for me at all! They die and then there's slimy stem water to deal with. Cut Flowers also mean deathAnd I don't want any flowers at my funeral either!
But I love to see flowers growing in gardens. I buy flowers as presents for people I know who love them. I appreciate the beauty of a beautiful bouquet - the one we got for my ma in law ( blues!! ) was absolutely stunning
      Just not for me!
